This device was a prototype. It used an NSC800 CMOS processor with the UHF radio in a backpack. It was subsequently redeveloped using 8051 CMOS processors and integrating the UHF radio inside thereby eliminating the backpack. It set the world standard for this type of target control and was subsequently redeveloped using a Siemens CMOS 6-port processor with an alphanumeric LCD, spread-spectrum UHF radio and backlighting keypad.with the ability to (almost) replace the Range Control Computer.
